ShiftPixy Staffing is Hiring a Sit down forklift operator Near Wilmington, NC
Position is to move material throughout the plant and warehouse manually or by operating electric powered sit down lifts, electric pallet jack and by hand at times. General labor at times.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Safety
Follows plant safety procedures and guidelines
Wears and utilizes personal protective equipment (PPE) as required (Steel Toe Shoes)
Task
Move stock and other materials to and from Warehouse and production areas by hand or other equipment
Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments, material and equipment needs
Secure material and products for transport to designated areas by using the stretch-wrapper machine
Assists other workers with specific chores as requested
Follow plant quality practices including Good Manufacturing Practices, or GMPs
Perform other duties as assigned
Heavy lifting involved occasionally.
QUALIFICATIONS
Forklift Certification
Willingness to work and follow verbal/written instructions
Moderate computer skills
Must be able to read, write and speak English
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Salary: $17.00 - $18.50 per hour
